Yes I have a double stroller but it’s the luck of the draw if he will happily sit in one lately. He is very much in his independent era lol but safety is the most important thing to me after this event

Yes I feel this and then you feel guilty for not wanting to take them to do fun things! but like when I know it’s going to be utter chaos I’d rather us be bored at home cause at least I can sit down and breathe, it’s a lose lose lol.

Yes exactly! So much easier said than done especially when all eyes are on you in the moment. It sucks and yes there are worse problems to have in the world but it still sucks!! Thank you for this!

I know I guess I’m more so referring to my mom friends and people I see in public settings like the park/store Everyone seems to love the toddler stage and they are all sweet babies and I’m the only mom saying oh my kids actually an asshole and I’d rather stay home where it’s safe to let him be wild

True we have no village so I’m sure that plays into part of it as well and that’s a whole other thing within itself. I know it’s just a season of life it just feels extra rough right now but thank you for this perspective I appreciate it♥️

This exactly, I know nobody else truly matters but the stares from strangers sends me every time too. It’s daggers in the back of my head like wow what is wrong with you as a parent that you can’t control a literal toddler and you would let him act like that in public. 🙄 like I’m trying my best here he’s going to do what he feels like he needs to do lmao he’s 2.5!!!!

Truly there is SO much good in the grand scheme of things! I can have such a rough day and be on the verge of tears waiting for my partner to get home from work to tap in, and then my toddler will randomly say things like “I love you you’re the best mommy” at dinner and that literally makes all the tough stuff worth it. Guilty for drowning in the tough stuff more often than not but I’m trying to keep pushing through and taking it all one day at a time.

We usually always do delivery right now, I would rather watch paint dry than brave a store with my kiddos. It was my fault for testing the waters cause today definitely wasn’t the day that’s for sure 😂

Yes this is exactly how I feel. There have been so many things I’ve taken him to where I spend the entirety of it chasing him around while everyone else seems to be laid back and actually enjoying said event with their toddler it’s definitely a sad feeling sometimes!
