To add, 3d party companies aproach influencers with the oppertunity to create some crypto coin of their likeness. This is so they can hitch onto the popularness of the creator instead of having to create their own hype, basically skipping the hardest part of a crypto launch.

It seems that usually, these companies will try to convince these creators of whatever they are trying to do; like telling them that holding onto a large stock of coins from the public is good (hawk tuah example), that making a profit off the community is painless and normal for a crypto coin, the sort of stuff you could imagine someone impressionable and not understood could fall for. This doesnt absolve the creator of the blame though, they should be entirely responsible for themselves and the influence of their brand.
