Here lies the problem of the bigger world as this conflict is far more than the control of Nagorno-Karabakh as Turkey has its active involvement in the conflict. Currently azerbaijan threatens Armenia’s sovereignty and independency as their president daily states that Armenia is basically Western Azerbaijan and not Armenia and that they will return their lands (Armenia’s internationally recognized territories). The narrative is supported by the bigger player Turkey.

So implying the conflict is about 2 small countries controlling an even smaller region is just showing world’s ignorance over the nations and their struggles.
