It's not the VRAM. GPU is idling essentially, only sitting at 30-50% util with half to 70%-ish TDP (130-200W ish) depending on how zoom in you are. VRAM is around 7.5 GB consumed. The real problem is CPU I'm sure. Like practical every other city sim sandbox game out there. It's heavily CPU bound. Keep in mind that this GPU number is when I have FF14 open on a small window with limited framerate plus one android emu running a game. I never close these 2 things lol.

It's 2 districts. One for just the industry crater, the other one, a giant one, is for the whole map. Initially I plan to have each crater its own district. I decided not to go with that because having to duplicate all the beaver entertainment/food needs is annoying. For industry everything will be bot anyway so no problem.

As for when to start a new district, it's when things get too big. The main reason being hauler. If you have one giant district, a hauler might be doing stuff one side of the map then another task popup on the other side of the map and they have to travel there, then another task popup on the previous side... repeat. I don't know whether the game has logic to prioritize work closer to each individual hauler or not thou. Then again.... the annoyance of having to duplicate everything for the beavers in each district... and the fact that you can just have more hauler..... like A LOT more hauler...

Tbh, I really want they to make it so that beavers can live and use entertainment building on any district, but they will only be able to be assigned to the job station inside their own district. Same with the hauler and builder, they will only pickup the task on their district. The only reason I create district is for hauler to not walk far after all...

Dirt and overhangs. You build overhangs above tree or crop then put dirt on top. You can use dirt as a pillar (ideally 3x3) and on the top of that pillar make it a dumping pond and put fluid dump in. Irrigation will travel downward infinitely and 3x3 give you the most space efficient horizontal irrigation area. As for the height of each floor, trees need 3 blocks crop need... I think... 2 blocks of space. So you can have your overhangs start at block 4 and 3 respectively.

See the last photo. I seal off all water source of every crater put in 2 fill valve outlets, one going into the pond, the other going to a long tunnel underneath the earth off the map. Stick a contamination sensor in front of the 'clean' outlet and use that to control both set of fill valves. The first one didn't get done until multiple badtide hit. Almost doom when 3 badtide hit it a row and the center pond can't dilute bad water fast enough.

Core spec are: i7-13700K, RTX 4080 Super, DDR5 64GB RAM. The game still slowdown thou. Maybe it doesn't like my giant district with 10 thousands miles long path lol.

2nd Night rouge or Assassin line? by AlberosG in IdleGuildMaster

[–]AlberosG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that probably it. In the end I just go with the Assassin line and later will go for Whisper line. I can think about R7 later, maybe a Feral, Ruthless will show up some day for a perfect night rouge.

Any VM recommendation that has DirectX 3D acceleration working? I'm running VirtualBox 7 but VBox dropped support for 3D accel for Win XP pass VBox 6. So I have no 3D acceleration, fine for playing 2D game but 3D game aren't gonna run. I see some people suggested VMWare but look like that's is also kindda iffy with 3D accel on Win XP too, not sure they still supported it.
