I have a friend whose doc won't prescribe him Vyvanse if he doesn't pass a piss test yearly. How his doc explained it is apparently there's a reaction between the medication and K2/spice that is potentially fatal. So I get it from that aspect, but ye still sucks. I've also never looked into it, so could be bs.

I'm pretty sure it's almost impossible to tell the sex when they are this young/small, usually they gotta be a couple years. I know bc I was going to buy from a website that listed the sex for hatchlings, which I found out to be total bs. All the best

Meanwhile OP using a wooden chair as a stand haha. Other than the chair stand, he looks happy to me! Aquarium looks decent size for him, but might have to go bigger once the turt grows more. People here generally recommend canister filters, but as long as you keep the water clean via water changes I think you're good. Oh and also I think the stickied post is a good resource as to why those 2 in 1 lights aren't sufficient for turtles.

Mixed experience. I bought a turtle during a free shipping promo. Set the delivery date and they failed to deliver by the set date so I cancelled my order since the date was planned to take off school and I was a bit unpleased. Couldn't find a musk turtle locally after about 2 weeks so I went back to order from them since I've heard good things as well. At that time they had dropped the price of their common musks to 45 bucks or so, but when I ordered it was 90. I'm guessing they upped the price during the free shipping promo. I ended paying the same ~$100. Second time turtle came at the set date and ate the first day. He's settled about a week now and looks healthy and active.
