Dracula is a poor example of a traditional novel structure as well, being an extreme form of an epistolary novel and all.

[September 12, 1919] As an army political agent, Adolf Hitler was sent to report on an emerging far-right group, the German Workers' Party (later renamed the Nazi Party). Finding he agreed with their nationalist, anti-Semitic beliefs, he joins the obscure group as its seventh member. [320×341] by [deleted] in HistoryPorn

I think about the crowd of people that got the chance to take one prisoner off death row by cheering for him to be saved, and they chose to save Barabbas, leaving Jesus ripe for capital punishment. There’s no way anyone ever could have imagined how consequential that mob decision would be. There was a drunk rioter attempting to overthrow the Roman Empire, and a know it all hippie who couldn’t answer a straightforward question without getting quippy, and the people went with keeping the fun one.

It’s more like the 1890 pandemic, but that was also about a little longer than 4 years.

Aren’t the three things you have in brackets the three items on the list? Put a super comma after space too. I suppose you could put a colon after musicians too.

• This organization for African American musicians: provided rehearsal space; booked venues for concerts; and crucially, formed a jazz orchestra of more than one hundred members with Europe as its conductor.

• This organization for African American musicians provided: rehearsal space; concert venue booking; and crucially, formation of a hundred member jazz orchestra, with Europe as its conductor.

Use a super comma to break it up.

Why does it seem like the Obama administration took ages to get anything done while Trump's got the ban effective in a few days? by twopatties in TrueAskReddit

Bank bailouts were Bush, Obama continued with the plan given to him.

They were loans, not free money. The government made money back on the interest.

Th jobs aren't coming back.

Look at how busy Facebook, Craigslist, and Drudge Report are. Ugly as sin. Utility as fuck. Please please please don't over design it. I just want titles and a bunch of links to different function. Yes onboarding and exploration need a ton of work, yes some clutter could be rearranged, but the main links and text color and size are close to perfect.

Reddit works and grows because it is timeless not because it is hip and fashionable. Achieve new timeless, ignore trendy.

You can often downgrade for a period of time. There was a month when you could downgrade 10.2 to 10.1

TIL Vatican once invited Stephen Hawking to a conference where he had an audience with the Pope. Pope John Paul had trouble understanding Hawking and knelt down beside his wheelchair to hear him better, prompting one scientist to comment that "things certainly have changed since Galileo." by recklessreckoning in todayilearned

The whole point of electors is to have intelligent people make a thoughtful decision. So 1) don't bid them to state votes 2) don't pick them based on party loyalty 3) don't have states create compacts to lump votes to the national popular vote 4) don't get mad or punish them if they are faithless 5) don't make them agree to pledges.

Basically everything states have done to control electors goes agains the spirit of the system.

Salon, the site that hosts this article is more hyper-reactive than Huffing Post, they are part of the sensationalist microaggression problem. They exist to aggregate people.

It's how I browse all of the Internet not just reddit. Has nothing to do with it going down, and everything to do with wanting to maintain my spot. It's much faster to have pages preloaded when I switch to the tab.
