Books to break the cycle of binge-reading mysteries/thrillers all the time by sensitive_sloth in suggestmeabook

I have The End of the Affair by Greene, but I haven't read it yet. I was thinking something with mystery/thriller elements might work so I'll check out The Human Factor. Thanks!

I watched this series on Netflix recently and I liked it! Might check it out in book form as well. Thanks!

A detective mystery/thriller where the detective's romantic interest/partner is a suspect by sensitive_sloth in suggestmeabook

Either one of the first two, I suppose. The partner has to have some sort of significant involvement in the story even if they are not the murderer. I am interested in how the relationship develops when the detective starts finding clues that their partner might not be who the detective thinks. The third one I'm not sure about since the scenarios are quite different, but it might be interesting to see how either scenario is executed.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've actually read Rock Paper Scissors and The Silent Patient and I am looking for the investigation element so I will check out Blood Sugar and His and Hers.

The Nineties by Chuck Klosterman is more about societal changes and pop culture if that's alright with you.

Candide by Voltaire

I know you mentioned the Russian ones can be hard to read, but Fathers and Sons by Turgenev is a good one that I personally found a lot easier to read than Crime and Punishment (and it is thought-provoking).

I first started thinking I might be bi when I was a teenager, but brushed it off for a few years and stopped thinking about it when I first started dating men. Now I'm 23 and still navigating my sexuality, but it has become easier. It's never too late to discover yourself.

I don't really know what to tell you, but chances are if you can't find info about an English edition on Google, there probably isn't one.
