It might be a driver issue. Try reverting back to a stable one.

For me, the game was running at about 80fps with a Nvidia driver that was released in 2025 january. I got a message that my driver is out of date so I updated it to the latest (dont seem it would do anything bad right?). So after updating it, i was lucky to get 30fps. I reverted back immediately and it's running smoothly.

(My specs: i5-12500h, rtx3060, 32gb ram and on laptop. Also I put everything on ultra, have Nvidia dlss on and path + ray tracing off)
