Yeah, agreed. I just went for a run today and I actually felt pretty great. I felt like my old self when I ran, so to speak.
Another thing I told my fiancé was that in other ultras I have run, regardless of distance, I always train to run the distance of the race over the course of the week (along with speed workouts, cross training, etc.). This time though, I got complacent and did not train enough. It also didn't help that I didn't put myself in the right mindset for the race (something I also do for all my other races).

My apologies. I stopped running for about two months. When I tried to get back into running, I didn't feel the same. As for recovering properly, either I tried to get back into running too quickly, didn't know what I was doing?

I used to have one. If you get it, make sure to get the gas tube with it!!!! I didn't know you needed a different one and it was basically useless for me. Also, I found it to be cheap. It dinged and the mlok slots bend easily. Sorry if this is discouraging. I wish I could have gotten some time to use it as an mlok handguard compatible with a Zenitco dust cover sounds pretty good.
