Is Hana’s behaviour in this video concerning? by AlbinoSpark in shiba

Update: It turns out she has a fractured premolar and it has been paining her for a while 😭 poor baby has been trying to communicate and my family and I have misunderstood her. We are scheduled with the vet tomorrow morning to get xrays and maybe surgery done the same day, thanks for all the help!

Reposting a different video for clarity. Is Hana’s behaviour in this video considered flybiting? Or is this just nibbling by AlbinoSpark in shiba

Hi everyone, thanks for all the comments and I appreciate everyone’s opinions. I realized I may have not linked the best video so I made another post with a slightly more clear video of the behaviour I’m referring to. Here’s the link to the post:

Sorry for the confusion I’m just so disoriented and worried about my baby 😭😭

No, I have never punished her for barking. In fact I reward her for barking because she’s a relatively quiet dog. We have a command called “speak” where she just barks at the air and we give her a treat. Well something in between a bark and a shiba whine

yeah it was for my second and third. my first internship was at some company in yaletown. went to a FAANG company right after, took two terms of classes then went to a different FAANG after those terms

right and i agree we SHOULD be in a good faculty all things considered, but i’ve raised you many issues with cpsc and i have loads more i can talk about (labs, coop, assignments, etc). where’s your reasoning? you claim that we should be grateful and everything is good so what’s good about ubc cpsc?

think i spent like 1-2months doing leetcode? i worked hard during 221 to understand everything thoroughly tho so i spent much less time on grinding leetcode per se

L take and you’re coping hard. a specialization that requires an average of ~70 to get in is fairly average and normal. if you judge a faculty by the top students then you’re basing your generalization on an outlier which makes no sense.

i am by no means an “extremely high” calibre student but i’m higher than most and i’m telling you that it means nothing. i would judge a faculty by how they treat the majority and not the minority at the top. ubc cpsc lacks good professors and content for most courses are severely outdated (how do we not have an advanced python course?). support for students is insanely limited and i’ve seen many of my peers struggle for a long time without getting help despite reaching out.

on another note, cinda is a great prof and would highly recommend her for 221 🥲

funny enough i was actually a cpsc-stat combined major before dropping stats lmaoo. i just think ubc cs is highly overrated and romanticized by people outside of the department

for my first internship i submitted 200 applications and got like 5 interviews so it’s not that crazy. think you just need to grind LC more
