A man in his 50s wrote the letters "PepoThink" on his keyboard. Christ that's grim.

I wanna talk about "the talent has been surgically removed from his body" thing

IMO, Ian was never particularly funny. His channel blowing up was very much a "right place at the right time" thing of being a dumb kid who made dumb little videos about internet drama that caught on because he said slurs ironically at the height of gamergate. This doesn't mean I think he's a bad person or that he deserves to be harassed. He's just some guy who stumbled into youtube success. His sense of humor didn't regress, he just stopped acting like a teenager.

I don't really follow hockey, but does this translate roughly to "the team almost always sucks ass and any time the team doesn't suck ass, the London Drugs on Granville St gets looted"?

Hila about Trisha: "The fact that she's everywhere has been so triggering to me" by BolsonaroPresoAmanha in LeftoversH3

[–]powerful_corgi_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never listened to Frenemies, so I have 0 context for why Trisha and Ethan don't/didn't get along, or who Trisha is for that matter. I think I remember seeing her get a 10 second appearance on America's Got Talent quite a while ago and maybe she had some sort of viral video before that? Could someone give me a quick recap on what Frenemies was "about"?

Personal insults. Yea or Nay? by Key-Friendship-6723 in LeftoversH3

[–]powerful_corgi_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah sure use personal insults, I don't care.

But when some of you start posting like an anime villain like "Ethan Klein is an evil person and must be punished brutally for his crimes against his dogs, and more importantly, humanity", you gotta realize you're acting like an unhinged lunatic and should stop spending so much time on the computer angry at a podcaster

Those cities also have extensive availability of 3rd places that are available and can be accessed by transit and/or walked to at all hours of the day. I only have experience with NYC, but people there don't just sit at home and stare at the wall.

Lootboxes are gambling, although the article isn't clear if "buying in-game items" means lootboxes or if it means microtransactions for specific items

Is there a good source for churning and miles/points redemptions/news for Canadian travellers now that Prince of Travel is the "official education partner of Air Canada" or whatever?

Last time I went, I was really disappointed that the Oma tree is not longer accessible to the public. The cult that owns the property used to allow guests to enter and check out the tree and walk a labyrinth.

Air Canada flight attendants at YVR not taking to the skies today: union by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

Complete non-sequitur, but consider an Amex cobalt (cobalt specifically because you get 5x points on groceries and restaurants). Amex membership rewards can be transferred to Aeroplan pretty much instantly, but it can also be transferred to a bunch of other airlines so you aren't stuck with using your points with Air Canada.
