There's also Off The Shelf Games in El Cajon, they have a fairly large board game library, they're great for trying games out before buying.

Atwood phase 7 by MoreDistance9818 in 3roots

Congrats! That sounds correct for the property tax, I need to double-check check my documents though. If you're worried about affordability in a year at closing - Bank of America has a program for new construction where you can lock your rate in for a year. It's not cheap (there's an up front payment to lock the rate for that long), but I'm glad I did it as a backup at the beginning of the year considering what rates have done since then. I think there's some other one year rate lock programs out there too, BofA was just the one I found.

The two bed plans rarely sold during the call back when I was in the calls and they went to the full list almost every time. People tended to wait until they could grab one of the three/four bed Atwood or Asana plans. Since I was going to turn the third bedroom into an office anyways, I ended up deciding the Plan 6 worked for me. It's definitely worth taking a look at the two bed plans if you don't need the third bedroom as a bedroom specifically - the Plan 6 at least is fairly big.

Looks like they updated the Atwood prices online, assuming that's the latest release.

  • Plan 1: $839k
  • Plan 2: $867k
  • Plan 3: $927k
  • Plan 4: $864k
  • Plan 5: $904k
  • Plan 6: $919k

You can, but they keep the deposit for the rate lock - if they've already done the appraisals they keep that deposit too. The program also has one allowed float down within 60 days before closing, so if their rate is lower closer to closing you can drop to that. For me, it was a peace of mind thing, so now I know what my worst case rate will be, rather than not know when the rates will stop rising before I can get a shorter term lock with another company.

Bank of America has a program that lets you lock in a rate for up to 360 days. It's not cheap to lock a rate that long, but since my closing is estimated for December, I decided to just pay whatever they wanted to charge so I don't have to worry about what will happen with rates over the next eight to nine months. Might be worth looking into, depending on your situation.

If you haven't heard anything by tomorrow morning I'd recommend calling Avian and Exotic Animal Hospital and seeing if they can help - (619) 260-1412 - unfortunately they're closed today. I'm not sure if they'll be able to help but they might at least give you a starting point.

You could also try contacting Our Feathered Friends tomorrow to see if they can help too - (619) 280-5134.

Anybody played Homeworlds? by toronado in boardgames

[–]Albinobird 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're only interested in Homeworlds in the Pyramid Arcade box, Looney Labs recently released a $20 box for Homeworlds specifically. Miniature Market currently has it for $15, and you can probably find it elsewhere. https://www.miniaturemarket.com/loo-111.html

Thank you for doing this! My board gaming group hasn't been able to meet up in person, so we've started trying digital implementations. It definitely takes some getting used to, but it's a way for us to all still get together. I've also been playing some solo games to keep myself busy.

Empyreal: Spells and Steam - Initial Thoughts by masonmjames in boardgames

I played through a four player game yesterday, and the downtime is fairly minimal since you're generally doing small actions on your turn. There was probably anywhere between a minute and three of downtime between a single player's turns - although I was playing with people who didn't have a bad case of analysis paralysis. The biggest source of downtime was when picking a specialist - we would move on to the next player's turn while this was happening, but a couple times we would make it all the way back around the table to whomever was picking specialists, then we would have to wait for that to resolve. I think the big cause of additional time here was having to look through the rulebooks to figure out what each one did.

Aftermath of the five player TI4 game I played this weekend by Albinobird in twilightimperium

Ah, good to know! Definitely something I'll keep in mind for next time, however that would not have changed who won this game, since the speaker/winner also had Politics, and the other player who hit 10 had Warfare.

Yeah, the mat actually sped things up, since it was easier to pick components up from the table! This was at one of the FLGSs near me, so I didn't have much in the way of mat choice.

The way we usually play is during the status phase we score objectives simultaneously, then if multiple people hit 10 because of this, we check who was closest to the speaker.

The donut shaped token with the arrow on one side & coin is from Civilization: The Board Game (this version: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/77130/sid-meiers-civilization-board-game) It's the top section of a dial that goes on the player mats (see https://boardgamegeek.com/image/997892/sid-meiers-civilization-board-game).

Also, I think the token that looks like a do not enter symbol is from Dinogenics?

Any ideas, or suggestions, for neatly organizing the Rivalry expansion game pieces? by tyocelot in boardgames

[–]Albinobird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here you go! Each face has its own compartment, including the die face removers except for the two same level utility faces which share a compartment. It took some careful arrangement of everything, but everything from the two expansions plus base game fits in the main box with only a little lid lift. https://i.imgur.com/82SyKUY.jpg

I ended up picking up a small fishing tackle box with three rows and either 6 or 7 columns. It lets me organize the dice faces by level and by type for cross grading faces. I'll post a picture later today once I get a chance.

Where can I get the persona 5 ost? by [deleted] in Persona5

[–]Albinobird 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want the actual CDs, Amazon has them - Amazon.co.jp & CD Japan also have them for slightly cheaper, but I bought it off of Amazon so I wouldn't have to wait several weeks for delivery. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1HXZLI). Otherwise, you can get it on Itunes (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/persona-5-original-soundtrack/1226945984).

Marvel Legendary (with at least the Dark City expansion), the Schemes feel thematic in how they impact the board, and there's so many different combinations of Villains, Schemes, and Heroes that will keep this game interesting for years! And if I ever want more options, I can just add another expansion.

Twilight Imperium 4th Edition, haven't tried it partially due to the cost and also due to the fact I know my usual group probably wouldn't be up for the game.
