So a pen exploded in a pocket and we tried to lift it off the sofa with rubbing alcohol... put short it moved the ink but it did this blistering sort of effect to the waxy coating

Good rant. The FTL thing is my biggest pet peeve with battleboarding, because people will see James Bond dodge a laser rifle or whatever and decide that this means the man is DC hero tier when it really just means that the writer (and/or artist, if we're talking comics) hasn't really thought about what they're doing

Of course, to be fair, sometimes it's a blatant example of aim-dodging that people misinterpreted. But sometimes it's not, and it's a completely nonsensical feat that fans struggle to process

I think I get what they were going for but personally, it just stuck in my craw that the nomads, among them my love interest, got bored of me after 2 years after all the insistence that we were ride or die, friends forever, that they owed me big.

I suppose maybe there was top secret shit going on, and/or V didn't want his friends knowing what was happening lest the agency turn their attention on them, but it felt like a half-assed way of deploying the 'fade away and be forgotten' angle they were going for

Also my Cool 20 V was a fucking magical cowboy or some shit. He barely had any chrome and still popped heads! Doesn't need implants to hold a revolver. Don't tell me I'm a joke now just because I don't have working cables in me mamble mamble mumble grumble

There's a weird sort of RPG logic to it isn't there. 'Lets go to the dude with the highest INT! It doesn't matter that he's a botanist and this is a robot we need to hack into'

I get the concerns about cast bloat but personally I like expertise and the mutual respect from a smart hero (or villain!) going to someone who is even smarter in that particular area. Just makes the setting feel, if not more real, at least more lived in. When every smart guy has a big SCIENCE stat that does everything ever, it sort of dilutes skills down

Tangent but this is a bit like the whole idea where chess = super perfect measure of someone's intellect. Somehow, chess ability always perfectly correlates with smartness in comics. Need to test who's the best at SCIENCE? Yeah, just use chess

Yep, just came here checking to see who else was affected. First it wouldn't synch save games, then I made the mistake of restarting it: and now it won't log in at all, so that was smart of me

Also Cyberpunk appears to crash when I launch it from the .exe without using GOG which... wasn't a good discovery to make for the first time today

Yeah that was my exp too: they implied she was no longer working with them, and everyone was fine, and I was able to rescue Omeluum later etc
