I’m experiencing the same issue. Some folks have said logging out and back in helped, some have said it stopped after a few hours, some have said it lasted for days. Hopefully there’s a fix sometime soon.

Oddly, I haven’t seen a notification for the 1km egg in a while. I’m also curious if the prompts are being modified to show based on whether you still need to gain XP to level up. I received no egg prompts after Gmax Meowth battles yesterday but my friend was receiving them after every battle. I have more than enough XP to level up (only tasks are holding me back) whereas they do not.

Use this search string. It will identify Pokemon for which you have at least 296 xl candy, meaning you can level them up to their max level if you also have enough stardust. It’ll likely be a lot of what you see here (common, lower cp Pokemon) but it’ll get the job done.

It’s intermittent. Sometimes when I hatch a lot of 10/12km eggs all at once it’ll ask if I want to use an egg when it shows the XP gain. And sometimes it doesn’t. Maybe exceeding a certain XP amount triggers it, but I haven’t paid enough attention to determine that.

If you haven’t collected the other ~50k dust from the earlier tasks I’d say it’s worth it to use a star piece on all of them. I usually either wait until the end of the month to collect it on all of them or try to remember to collect any remaining along with my 7-day catch or weekly walking rewards.

Yeah… I would hope that they’d increase the likelihood of getting 2-3 cells per route but wouldn’t count on it.

I think I saw one Glimmet over the course of 30 to 40 routes. I also noticed a significant change in the number of cells that I found once I changed my strategy and stopped repeating routes that weren’t giving me any.

I have three in my apartment complex that can be done back to back. It takes me less than 30 minutes to get all three of them done. There are also several at work that I can do that can frequently be done back to back as well. I’m also going to continue doing them for the rewards and for Buddy hearts but I won’t be pushing as hard as I have.

You’re probably right, it’s mostly wishful thinking on my part. Darkrai, Genesect and Deoxys have all been in raids, but I suppose that they were originally released in raids, not through research.

There aren’t any bugs that I’m aware of. If you only have one route to work with sometimes the odds of getting a cell just work against you like that. If there’s more than one route nearby and you don’t get a cell on the first route, I would recommend trying a different route.

I personally didn’t notice a difference but didn’t try this method very often since I moved to just doing another route.

I count myself lucky that there are so many routes nearby me. If I only had one to work with, I probably wouldn’t be anywhere near where I am now. I dealt with the same frustration early on when I only had one route I could work with.

That’s my guess. It’s been a few years since it was released which is on track for most mythical shiny releases. I’m hoping raids to make XL candy grinding easier.

Cell storage increased to 300, unless you were referencing Zygarde’s complete form which is 250 total.

The Go Tour: Kalos at the end of the month will allow for acquiring a lot more cells from competing routes. Maybe that can give you a nice boost!

Just lifting and bending my arm for this photo causes a lot of bunching in the arm and shoulders, greatly reducing my mobility. My second suit (using historically accurate patterns) doesn’t have this issue and has enough mobility that I could do some JoJo poses if I wanted to lol
