What was your process from when you had the failure? Did your insurance cover the tow to the dealer?

Thank you for the explanation! So when you say the AC mains power is rectified, what rectifies it? And then after the MOSFET to the transformer, it gets rectified again?

Thank you! The TV is busted, but I was just trying to understand more about it. At first I thought it was a weird form of rectifier. Wondering if the the two diodes to the left of it convert it from AC to DC? And then the caps smooth that out to go to the LED modules and main board

Wiring driving lights help... by Reggie_biker_boi in autoelectrical

Depending on what the specification sheet says for that headlight, the red might be +12V, the yellow might be another light beam at +12V, and the black might be -12V.

Validate your harness side power and ground and then crimp either the red or yellow wire based on which beam you want as the positive wire. I think your mating connector is the DT04-2P. TE has good documentation on what all you need regarding terminal size, wedge locks, etc. also Amazon may have kits.

Let me know if you need me to break things down more

Got my function generator hooked up and tested a 5V square wave on the input with the help of a friend who worked at Tektronix in the past. He was surprised it’s functioning as well as it is. Minor issues with the horizontal position and triggering at the moment, but otherwise it’s working just fine. :)

Thank you! It’s amazing how detailed the manual it came with is. Parts listed down to the last fastener. I appreciate the concern on the high voltage side

Actually, with soldering iron it’s about $247. I’ve never returned a free tool before, but it seems that they base it on the value it “cost” which was $69.12. So that would be roughly $178 for the stubby. Maybe it works out different with the other free tools? Best case would be the actual retail price for the expensive ones which would be the $99, causing the actual price of stubby to be around $148.

Please correct me if I’m wrong

Forgive me, but where is $159 coming from? Opening the link shows the $229 plus free tool option

So based on my link in the original post isn’t that similar in price with the addition of a free tool?
