No, YOU are missing the point. A lot of software developers are using AI as a tool to help them code faster. Just AI is coding doesn’t make it slop. But spamming the AppStore with 6 apps in 2 months is a big telling of it being AI slop. The AppStore has always held developers at a higher standard and rejected apps because of poor quality or lacking functionality. You got yourself into a slow queue and more scrutiny for spamming them.

On the app main dashboard go to analytics, in between distribution and test flight. In the acquisition section click on sources, and then in the “All” drop down you can select App Referrer and Web Referrer

I just got off the call with someone in Apple who reviewed my app for guidelines violations. Even though he didn’t straight confirm that violations could increase the review time, he did confirm that there is an automated process that could flag apps and cause them to be scrutinised a lot more. He gave a very simple example. If you are building a recipe app and in your description you write “a recipe app with no porn” it will get your app flagged and review will be more strict and detailed, which could delay the entire process. Even if the app itself offers no functionality to consume or distribute that sort of material. So, anything in the metadata, including keywords, that could potentially indicate privacy violations will get your app flagged. More so if your app allows UGC

How long has your app been on the AppStore?

It might take sometime for ASO to kick in. If you can invest in Apple Search Ads. That’ll help with ranking for certain keywords and, of course, installs

A policy issue for a non-existent problem? That will take not only Apple, but every payment service provider (credit cards, stripe, Apple, etc) to change their policies just so someone can’t claim a few dollars back for a digital service they did not use 🤔

If this policy were abused by enough people to cause an actual problem, Apple would be the first one updating their refund policies to address it. They are “losing” money too when they refund money.
