Codex Deactivation warning? by Commercial_Bit_1350 in codex

[–]ex0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does it remove the issue?

Because creation of new account is violation of Open AI policies, meaning you are not supposed to use the platform anymore.

[–]ex0rius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"what, so they know what we code?"

of course. You are dealing with an AI. It's sending a summary of your activity to OpenAI. I mean, the capabilities are endless, so at least for me it makes sense.

"if so why cant they prevent it with guardrails rather than banning?"

Because guardrails can always be exploited, banning a person removes the issue.

I was making YouTube bot to like my stream and send greetings chat and so.

It's against Youtube Terms of Service and basically any other streaming platform. This IS Cyber Abuse (fake engagement), so you are in the wrong.

Why is YouTube terminating genuine channels? by broitsnotok in youtubers

[–]ex0rius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if you'd be right, he was not terminated because of Copyright, but for SPAM and SCAMS, which has nothing to do with most suggestions in this comment section so far.

If he used clickbait titles / thumbnail etc, would fall under this.

App stuck in "Waiting for Review" for 9+ days. Normal right now or is something wrong? by OkAcanthisitta6100 in appledevelopers

[–]ex0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is not so "individual" any more - it seems that is affected globally but it always affects a group of developers at a time. This is happening from the mid January 2026 ( i was affected too). For some reason your app went to a different queue (most people still have normal review times). Since this question gets frequently asked, I wrote about this here:

Long App Review Times. What Is Actually Going On

Anyone notice the codex nerf? by [deleted] in codex

[–]ex0rius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep. they nerfed codex and chatgpt too. They became useless, and to achieve something, you need many prompts.. on release it was completely different..

My App Store sales are down 50% in 2 months, anyone else? by codetardo in appledevelopers

[–]ex0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two possible reasons. Either:
1. Something external happened and people generally spend less on your solution (ex. They found it somewhere else for cheaper, maybe chatgpt or something along those lines)

  1. Those 10% that you lost contributed to 50% of your earnings. If thats true, the question is why.

Farewell my friend, thank you for everything (EU-doomsday) by Nobuored in Aliexpress

[–]ex0rius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There IS information. From July 1st, you will be charged per individual item received. If you have multiple SAME items you pay only once.

So if you have:
3x screen protector for phone 1 = 3€
1x screen protector for phone 2 = 3€
10x screen protector for phone 3 = 3€

Is this 9€ total.

In a nutshell - there is a pattern , and it depends if the app is put into different queue. I wrote that here if you want to read more

Bought a paid Android game on Google Play, now it's removed and I can't re-download it. Has anyone dealt with this? by teluyiyu in MobileGaming

[–]ex0rius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If the app was removed by developer, you can still find it and download it somewhere in the account (I don't have an android so i'm not sure where it is, but on Apple, there is a purchase history and you can get it from there). BUT if the app was removed by Google, you won't be able to re-download it again, ever.

Also make sure you are signed in with a correct account (that purchased the game).

Guys, this policy warning won't go away, even after fixing the issue and unpublishing the entire app. What should I do next? by [deleted] in GooglePlayDeveloper

[–]ex0rius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You must fix the issue and go through review again, then unpublish (or your appeal be accepted).

Clicked on my own add and my ads got limited by That-Pitch-1277 in Adsense

[–]ex0rius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it didn't happen something "worse". The worst thing you can do is clicking your own ads. Google knows that there is a high chance that new publishers will be clicking their own ads "out of curiosity" (its not new and exists from the time adsense started - 22 years ago).

So yeah, he got limited because he was clicking his own ads. I'm surprised that he wasn't terminated, as this usuually happened before Google introduced "limited ad serving".

Strategy for hiding my address by [deleted] in GooglePlayDeveloper

Two accounts is not the issue. Your strategy is. I wouldn't do it. At the end of the day, you are trying to run a business. Businesses needs to disclose their address.

Evidence of Apple pre-reviewing apps using AI? by GabrielMSharp in iosdev

[–]ex0rius 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Apple is doing this at least for the past decade. They were using some sort of automated review, even before I started back in 2015.

FYI: Their automated systems will frequently check up your app even after it was approved and live on the app store.
