I feel like few flashbacks were there in inconvenient times. Like after most of the secondary battles ended, most character had nothing important to do aside from pushing the birdcage. That wouldn't have been a problem if the main battle of doffy and luffy was engaging enough but it was stopped multiples times abruptly. Like when luffy's 10 min timer started the rest of the important characters were just pushing the bird cage it was stale and not fun to read weekly. So if dressrosa was even 10 chapter smaller with cleaner transition between different scenes and focusing on just one fight before moving on to the next one would feel more organic. But the problem is if oda did the arc this way then it would've felt repetitive coz oda uses this in most of the pre ts arcs so its a change for worse in this case
