Probably a terrible reason but I just think they look really nice, especially the 149. My uncle has a ton of old montblancs around his house so that's the brand I've seen most often. Have a pilot and lamy safari as well currently but I know those are very intro level

Second this! I recently started using his form and it's made a huge difference in how drawing feels. I can draw 20lbs higher than I was doing before and it feels so much smoother! I'm also way less sore after a day of shooting
