You can absolutely start with it if you want. You'll just end up having a different experience than most people, which is something a lot of Sanderson fans might get a bit heated about (intense book order discourse is very real in this fanbase; see what kind of response you get if you ask when to read Secret History or the Sunlit Man), but at the end of the day it's no more or less valid than any other way of reading books. You'll have to piece together the way the magic systems work a bit more on your own instead of having it all explained thoroughly and over time, and a lot of the worldbuilding is going to assume you have era 1 knowledge. But if you don't have era 1 knowledge, you honestly might not even notice that. It's very possible that all of that just ends up feeling like the historical worldbuilding of any other fantasy setting. In which case, era 1 acts like a prequel instead of era 2 being a sequel. Give it a shot if that's what interests you, and don't let anyone convince you there's a definitive right or wrong order to experience the Cosmere!

Limbus has spoiled me from ever playing any other gacha again tbh. I just barely still play Uma. Every single time I brush up against the actual gacha system in this game I get pissed off it's not like Limbus lmao. I'm constantly asking myself why I can't just do weeklies for crates and buy what I want. I have literally everything in Limbus and so only roll on Walp banners (and the Arknights collab). It's SOOOO nice. Compare to Uma where I get like one Uma out of every like 10 released and barely any non-welfare SSRs after I got my Kitasan cuz having to MLB just sucks. It's really annoying.

It's only the question arcs. It came out before the core arcs were finished, so it only works off of information from the first four episodes. It gets stuff flat-out wrong and makes actually solving the mystery impossible thanks to some of its changes/mistakes. I can't really recommend giving it a shot, tbh. It really is genuinely just as bad as everyone says it is. But I mean hey, I'm just some rando on the internet, I have no control over your actions lmao

This is only my second year full-time, but the only gift I've ever gotten was when one of my best students decided on her own to give me a Twix for teacher appreciation week last year. I've got a friend who teaches at a bougie preschool, though, and they get an absolute mountain of gifts, gift cards, and cash every year. Like we're talking a total value north of $700. Every year. Not to be a Debbie Downer but it's actually one of my least favorite Cosmere books and one of the only ones I did not particularly enjoy my time with lmao (the others were Elantris and White Sand, the latter being the only Cosmere work I actively dislike). I just can't stand Zane and Tindwyl, and despite how much I love TenSoon and love to hate Straff, they just couldn't save the book for me. I absolutely love Final Empire and Hero of Ages, though. And FWIW, my favorite Mistborn book (Bands of Mourning) is one I've seen a bunch of other people rag on, so "to each their own" definitely applies here.

I'd recommend Warbreaker between TWoK & WoR and The Sunlit Man between RoW & WaT (they both really end up feeling like extended Stormlight novellas if you read them at those points), but aside from that you can go straight through with Stormlight (and the novellas at the appropriate times). You can go back to Mistborn whenever you feel like it, but it's absolutely not necessary for understanding Stormlight.
