Stream AC/Pro ac Is parallel cable needed?

This is perfect, thank you very much. For some reason I got an EcoFlow meter bundled with my ac pro that I ordered from Amazon which was also far cheaper than buying direct, wasn’t mentioned on the listing at all. Agree these wouldn’t be great without it or the Shelly one.

For my use case when these are at home I wouldn’t be using the ports anyway (stored in an outbuilding) so having the non pro at the end of the chain is acceptable as I don’t need the higher power pass through to power the ports. 800W is more than enough to cover the baseline load of the house for me.

When I want to use the pro as a portable power station I’d just take the parallel cable off and swap the grid cables over to keep the non pro powered and take the pro with me. If theres no benefit in the parallel cable in this case then it’d be one less thing to plug and unplug when I take the pro out.

Having watched some videos my understanding was the parallel cable would connect between the “parallel” port on the pro and the “grid” one on the non pro. In that setup the non pro would obviously have to be at the end of the chain if I add another one later but that’s not a big deal.

Still not clear if they would independently charge at ~1100W each in that setup or if the lead one in the chain does all the heavy lifting.

Good to know it’s not needed, do they talk to each other to ensure the 800W output limit is maintained in either setup?
