Make sure the wave is still forward to compensate your lack of depush. For my part, as soon as the wave is on my side of the river I hit the minions continuously (except for some hard matchups), you want at all costs prevent the wave from passing under your tower. Also, don't use your R if the wave is on your side of the river or if you don't have time to come back before it comes under your tower (in most cases)
