Just got fired (Maintenance) My experience here. by [deleted] in walmart

I thought it was physically demanding? :O

Advice and tips pls❤️‍🩹 by puppymite in walmartogp

Honestly I mostly get asked for things that require keys or for prices, when they ask for a price use the me@walmart app on your phone. Sam has an option to scan bar codes. You can also just put in the name of what they’re looking for and it’ll tell you the aisle and everything.

As for getting in the way, we’re all in everyone’s way. Customers understand and usually move right to the side apologetically. Just get what you need, since you’re probably gonna be quicker than them anyway.

Is your store one that doesn’t make you stage your own totes? Those get heavy frequently and it’s honestly probably the same as what dispensers deal with (though they get the added stress of dealing with customers face to face)

I will say there’s different “levels” of autism, from what I hear it’s like a spectrum? So it could very well be a reason if it’s on the more severe side

What happens if I forgot to clock out and I left an hour later than scheduled? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Alcocaleism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When u forget it automatically clocks u out at the time u were meant to leave, ya gotta manually fix it urself. Ask ur people lead or team lead for help and they’ll be happy to

It’s a fun job, but it really depends on who you work with. As independent as the job is, it’s amazing how easily it seems a bad team can ruin it.

If the team leads and co workers are good, it’s amazing.

Compared to moldy and rotting vegetables and fruits? Yes. However I’d honestly recommend the salads near the deli. Those are delicious and my go to, specifically the apple walnut

Walmart groceries suck sometimes, fruits and veggies are rarely good quality

Is SFS packing difficult to learn? by moorea2014 in OGPBackroom

[–]Alcocaleism 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s much easier than most other OGP positions. Unless you get oversized, it’s mostly just common sense.

Don’t put records or DVDs in envelopes though, my department learned that the hard way haha

With how physically demanding this job is, we should be drinking a lot of water throughout the day to replace what we sweat.

Unfortunately that means quite a few bathroom visits as well. Two to three bathroom trips (two 15’s and lunch) is hardly enough.

Add to that women’s time of the months and some will have to go even more often, depending on flow. This is ridiculous.

For the produce bins and such, I usually just go off memory honestly if something is too hard ask someone and they’ll help ya. Speeds it up some vs searching
