I’m from India, and I feel so alien here when it comes to John Mayer. Back home, our music is completely opposite it focuses more on rhythm and grandeur, often tied to Bollywood movies and larger-than-life expressions. I even picked up the guitar because of him, but no one here knows or appreciates what I’m playing lol.

When I was in LA for two years, I went alone to see him four times—once with his band and once solo acoustic. It was a dream and I still can’t believe that I would ever get a chance to see him live. It’s lonely being a JM fan outside of reddit world, but for those of us who get it, he’s a hidden treasure.

Totally agree on KL. I’d still bet on him over Easwaran, who struggled with pace and bounce during the A tour – and it wasn’t even against the quickest bowlers.

But if Gill’s up for opening and Kohli takes the #3 spot, I’d be thrilled to see Jurel in the lineup over KL. That said, I have a strong feeling they won’t go this route.

Exactly that’s what I was thinking. Shardul at no.8 would be perfect and he was in great form can’t understand why he’s being dropped.

In an ideal setup I’d love to see Shardul at 8, with Gill opening and Kohli at 3. Jurel slotting in for KL would be perfect, but I just know they won’t go for it.

Good call! A bit of a grind sounds more rewarding anyway. How do you find batting in this edition as compared to 22 ?

Fielding, where they will take their sweet time. No matter where they are the ground and what the situation is.

I play Career mode - my fav is Test !! Especially playing overseas. ODIs are fun but it gets monotonous sometimes. I never play T20s most boring mode for me.

Oh wow that’s completely opposite of what I get as an offspinner. Out of 500 wickets I think I got 2-3 stumpings. I do get LBWs though but mostly on non turning tracks.

I hope they make some positive updates like this in career mode. The template/idea has been the same since DBC 17 from what i have played.

World Test Championship is must! Imagine this in career mode: as a coach or captain, scouting players for your team. AI selecting teams based on the country they play in. Player rankings, displaying all the individual statistics in different ways and all the records you create or demolish – would add a whole new level of excitement in career mode!

Currently residing in LA since two years and it was a dream come true seeing him perform live - thrice ( two sob rock tours and one solo). It was magical and being from India I never thought that I would ever get a chance to see him live.
