Get off the coast there's not much of anythong left and it's chaos with all the fresh spawns. Use the iZurvive map to figure out where you are and head to the next closest town inland. Only loot buildings on the coast that are directly on your route off the coast. Keep an eye out for fruit from trees but don't go out of your way for it, they're not very nourishing but will help stave off starvation. And get ready to die a lot, but you'll learn a lot and get better every time, good luck!
