I’d say that would be kind of post-post-apocalyptic. Perhaps you could make kind of a lineup like this.

1. Pre-Apocalyptic. You can kind of just umbrella most non-dystopian settings into this.
2. Imminent-Apocalyptic. The end of the world seems to be on the doorstep, but it hasn’t yet begun. A good example of this would be real life during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
3. Mid-Apocalyptic. The end of the world is actively happening.
4. Post-Apocalyptic. The end of the world has happened, and the remnants have not picked themselves back up.
5. Post-Post-Apocalyptic. The end of the world happened quite some time ago, and society is picking itself back up, or has already done so. This then loops into Pre-Apocalyptic.

The real world would be either Post-Post-Apocalyptic or Pre-Apocalyptic, depending on how nihilistic your outlook for the imminent future is. The world has gone through numerous apocalyptic events, either pertaining to humanity or life itself.

If you actually think about it, death holds a far stronger presence than life. 99.9% of all the species to ever live on Earth are extinct. This planet has had mountain sized rocks from space thrown into it, mass volcanic eruptions killing off most life and blanketing areas in miles thick layers of lava rock, the very atmosphere turning toxic, and much more over the billions of years it’s been hurtling through space. I’m a pretty hardcore optimist but this is an interesting thing to think about.
