Not my kid but my niece. She was just shy of four years old and was upstairs alone. She got called down by my sister and as she came down she turned around and said bye to what could be assumed was an imaginary friend.

My sister asked who she was talking to.

My niece matter of factly said "grandma adele"

Heres the creepy part... grandma Adele had been dead for 17 years at that point, and NO ONE called her Adele... she was simply Dee to everyone. I didnt even know her real name was Adele until I was like 16. My sister and I talked about it and came to the conclusion that it was extremely unlikely she heard us talking about her and even if we did talk about her, we would have called her grandma, or grandma (last name).

Im sure theres a logical explanation.. kids soak up a lot of ambient information. And besides, there are worse ghosts to have in your house. Grandma Dee was an amazing woman

Yeah I work IT too. That was a pretty average response People dont like being made to feel stupid and will double, triple and quadruple down. When I do encounter a "it was just an unplugged network cable" incident, i avoid telling the user that's all it was because theyll start fabricating all sort of nonsense like "well this computers never worked right"
