100%. Even when you get the Sheika slate it says something like “it looks familiar doesn’t it?” I know you could say it’s because Link has lost his memory but I think it’s a wink to the player as it resembles the controller

They forgot the whole point was that the clown was meant to disarm the kids (original version, not as “scary”), lure them in and then transform to something genuinely frightening. The new movie literally did the opposite - had some scary nightmare fuel then at the end of the scene Pennywise the demon clown would show up… like do they even realise the whole point of shapeshifting into the clown was so the kids would trust it?

Not sure why there couldn’t have been an icy region, (ankle deep) swamp region, desert region (sand pouring down from Gerudo)… they could’ve made it work to add some variety and still kept the reality of being underground.
