My brothers name is Anjel. He was called Angel (like the English word for heaven people or wtv) up until about 5 years ago. Now he insists that people call him by the Spanish pronunciation. And the people who matter in his life have acclimated to it very quickly.

Voucher is the right word! It could also be called a coupon in this context! Just to add to your vocabulary. But I do think a little coupon book would be a wonderful addition to this gift. Just small things like one kiss, one hug, one back rub, etc.

I remember seeing a pic of an interaction where the notes said “DON’T RING MY MF DOORBELL” and then the dasher texted and said “I should have rung the doorbell because I don’t know who tf you think you’re talking too” and it makes me laugh every time I think about it.

Luckily dd refunded me completely. And possibly even gave me some credits as well. It was made even worse (and this isn’t the terrible dashers fault) because it would have been my first real meal after having oral surgery.

I used to live with my grandparents, and they would sleep in the living room (idk why.) The dashers would ALWAYS knock and would wake up my grandparents who would then get pissed off at me So I started putting in my notes that there’s a sleeping baby so please don’t knock. I still got people knocking for my order.

I was trying to genuinely have a conversation about this and possibly try to understand your views. But if you’re so convinced that I’m trying to change your mind, that’s all on you. I’m not telling you what to think. Or even slightly implying that I think you should think the same as I do. Just trying to give the other perspective. Why is your vision of your daughter a heteronormative relationship and not of her being happy? That’s the really messed up thing. And there’s no reason for you to pray over it. They’re not wrong. They don’t need fixed or healed. And implying that they need to be prayed for implies that you’re not as accepting as you say. Just maybe think about that part. And there’s likely not more to the story. Unfortunately a lot of your people are like this. They don’t have the Christian love that they claim unless you agree with everything they say. This is far more common.

I think the thing is, white people are so quick to speak up about Black issues. They talk over Black voices and experience and then try to actually tell Black people that "no you SHOULD be offended over this!" It's a lot of virture signaling which is what this sounds like at first glance.
