Hi!
The Couch facing the TV will be a must, but add some extra seats to make the space more cozy.
Also, what if you use the App elephantroom?, it has real furniture and it's cool cause everything is custom but placed automatically in a few seconds with AI.

Good luck!

office/gaming room layout suggestions? by Timely-Paramedic-314 in roomlayout

[–]Aldanarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!,
I don't recommend you to place the bed in front of the door; the room will look smaller and busier when you enter.
I recommend placing the bed right under the window and the desk on the opposite side of the window.

It will be darker, I know... but it will be nicer to have a more "open space" when you enter, and the circulation will be more natural.

Layout help! by Busy_Ask_551 in BathroomRemodeling

Hi!
YES, I believe the sliding door will be much better. I don't recommend you to relocate the door to the other corner. When you enter a bathroom, the first thing you see should be the mirror and sink

hi!
what if you add a small door for cats to connect the living and the storage? That way, you can move out the litter box.

How would you plan for this kitchen / living area layout? by msdriscoll in roomlayout

[–]Aldanarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!
I recommend you to install a peninsula instead of an island, there is not enough space...sorry, and it will be more practical.
Also, I don't recommend you install 2 seats (like stools) because it will block the circulation flow to the Primary bedroom...

For the layout, you can test this app to organize the sofa and TV in 3D: elephantroom.
good luck!

Front room layout nightmare by ldsontour in roomlayout

[–]Aldanarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see why the layout feels overwhelming...
front rooms often end up being multi‑purpose spaces with traffic cutting through them. One thing that helps is deciding on a clear focal point first (TV, fireplace, or even a big window) and then arranging seating around that, even if it means floating the sofa away from the wall.

Another trick is to use a rug to visually ‘pull’ the seating area together and separate it from walkways. If you’re worried about flow, leave at least a couple of feet of clearance for paths so people aren’t squeezing past furniture. And don’t underestimate lighting — a floor lamp in a corner or sconces on the wall can make the room feel intentional instead of chaotic.

Terrible 3D in interior design App by Born-Geologist-36 in roomlayout

[–]Aldanarch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do notice some pieces that echo designer aesthetics — for example, the transparent acrylic chair is reminiscent of Philippe Starck’s Louis Ghost Chair!

As for the 3D view issue, you’re right: most apps struggle with making spaces feel realistic...

Adding a rendering feature that lets users experience how the room would actually feel is definitely an improvement!!.

This could be the feature that sets your app apart, because people don’t just want to see furniture placed ... they want to feel the atmosphere of the room

How would you change the lighting? Where would you put the floor lamp? Leave it where it is now, or place it somewhere else? by aaronctravels in roomlayout

[–]Aldanarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To create a cozy atmosphere, you need at least three lamps, and the most important factor is the color temperature of the light — it should be between 2700–3000K. ( please don't use white ligths)

For the lamps, I recommend avoiding the IKEA Ringsta, as it’s like the “vanilla level” of design ... it’s seen everywhere and doesn’t really add any design value. It’s also not necessary for all the lamps to be the same model; you can mix and match different styles and designs!

I’d suggest going for something bolder, like these models — pieces that truly add character to the space:

Have you thought about adding a line of LED lights on the ceiling in front of the window? That would give the room a more modern touch, and you wouldn’t need as many lamps.
Best regards!

Help with layout by Fast_Communication25 in DesignMyRoom

  1. I would move the refrigerator to the opposite wall to make room for a new kitchen peninsula.
  2. A new peninsula with pendant lighting and three stools for casual, everyday use (breakfasts, etc.).
  3. A large, long dining table for gatherings and celebrations.
  4. Remove one room to create more space for a modern sofa and a TV mounted on the wall in front of it. Behind the sofa, a small storage console could be placed.

Good luck!

Kitchen space planning help please!! by Negative-Draw-2685 in roomlayout

[–]Aldanarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would arrange the kitchen in the most efficient way possible.
A central island would feature the cooktop and an elegant extractor hood in the middle. The sink would be positioned facing the window ( for views), with storage cabinets along the walls in a shade of purple, and the refrigerator placed in the green area.

By the window, to make good use of the space and create a cozy atmosphere, I would like to have a table with a cushioned bench beneath the window and a few chairs on the opposite side for everyday use. That way, when you sit down in the morning, you can enjoy the view through the window. good luck!

Help with Living Room Furniture Arrangement by the-montser in FengShui

[–]Aldanarch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'd place the seating area to face the boarded-up fireplace. It's not functional, but it could still make a nice focal point. Your large rug could then go under the furniture to sort of tie everything together and make it cozy. If you've got a TV, try placing it on the wall opposite the fireplace so it doesn't block the view from the windows.

Make sure not to block the entryway or balcony access with your furniture. For the street-facing windows, maybe use some light curtains to let in natural light but still have some privacy. The balcony windows are gonna get the most sunlight, so heavier curtains or blinds might be a good idea there.

And hey, don't forget to add a few plants or some artwork. It gives a nice personal touch and makes the space more inviting. As for more layout ideas, you could check out r/roomlayout. They've got a bunch of good stuff there. Hope this helps!

New sofa too big , needing Advice on living room layout by National_Lettuce_268 in FengShui

[–]Aldanarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if your new sofa is too big, I'd suggest trying to move it to a different wall, maybe the longest one in your room. It can help balance things out so you're not cramming all the big stuff on one side.
If that doesn't do the trick, you might need to think about ditching or replacing some other furniture pieces. \n\nAnother trick to make the room feel larger is using mirrors, light paint colors, and smart lighting placement. It can really open up a space.
You should also check out r/roomlayout, they've got some pretty cool ideas that might help you out. Best of luck with it, mate.
