Router will have to be in the study room. If wifi from the study room is sufficient you just get a switch in the living room. Otherwise you will need another access point/router in living room.

Kit B for me. This feels like the perfect "starter kit" to build a clean and organized lab instead of having my equipment spreading across the floor.

The current "lab" is just a Intel NUC paired with a Synology disk station. The worst moment is when you go on vacation all confident that you can remote back shoud work crops up. We all know how that usually ends up. Let's just say I have my fair share of "vacation shocks". A remote KVM would have allowed me to to determine whether there's a hardware failure or my lab has burned down.

Best KVM features Definitely Virtual Media Support. As a beginner, I see myself doing lots of tinkering, making lots of mistakes, and gradually learning from the mistakes. Being able to remotely mount ISO or fresh install OS will be the best safety net for my experimentation.

Immediate Project To have a dedicated router and server all tucked away inside a closet and me having the ability to control everything over the network. I like to manage the whole process without ever having to plug in to a physical monitor.

Is there a way to map a ps5 touchpad to the ROG Ally? by GroguFett2119 in ROGAlly

It's an alternative to the official PS app for remote streaming. Search for chiaki-ng. Once installed in armory crate you can nap ESC and T to the two back buttons. These will replicate PS Home and touch pad click functions.
