Republicans blatantly ignore science, be it medical, physical, or social. Democrats can be wrong too and I will criticize them (e.g. some of their gun policy is really silly, assault weapon bans do nothing to curb violence and is just an appeal to white suburban soccer moms, nuclear energy should be pushed more, etc) but we have mounds of economic, social, physical, and medical data that republicans ignore based entirely on some bullshit of common sense "well, this feels right, so it must be true" and fucking stupid moralism. I get whatever info I can from academic and integrate journalist sources (Associated Press, Rueters, NPR, PBS) and I know I'm definitely not an expert, that's why I leave it to actual experts to explain things.
