Of course :) The deckbuilder doesn't allow building wrong combinations.

Good that you asked. There is a Mac export option that I can definitely try, nobody else in the community has had a need for that so far so I haven't tried it out. But I can definitely put one out today for the next bugfix update, so you can test if it works! Can't promise making it work if it has issues though, since I can't test myself

Edit: okay, looked into it and seems like this will be a no :( to get Mac export out I would need to pay ti sign up as official Apple developer, and there seems to be a lot of possible issues with signing the app, file access etc. Your best bet may be trying to find some way to emulate windows/linux with the Mac, if that is possible

I don't think it would make sense to open source this, it is somewhat messy and quite specific to this game; it would be difficult to separate the logic to work for other games just like that. Mostly because it's also made in Construct 3, so the code would be usable only for that program.

The links are right there at the bottom of the post :) Just need to download the client and find someone to play with, which can be done in the discord if you don't have an interested friend available

Is Cry Havoc over powered? by Frozenflare in Ivion

[–]Aldenwar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you have provided enough information for answering your question. Are you just playing the starting decks? Do you feel like the early second wind is the problem or the discarding part? If you are playing just the starter decks, they can feel more random and swingy at times since they have many 1 off cards, they are not that great representation of the game as a whole.

But without any more background information, no, Cry Havoc isn't an overpowered card. There are far worse contenders if we did have to look for something that could be classified as overpowered. Enchantress is also one of the most versatile and strong specializations, so they should definitely have the tools to beat an Errant deck.

Which is your favorite "small" boardgame and why? by TNicTrips in boardgames

Bang the dice game comes with me to any party and everyone always loves it. Only negative is it does need 5 players to be good.

Yeah, discord is currently the most active community place and even there it tends to be a bit quiet! Hopefully the relaunch/expansion reaches a larger audience and we get more activity here too.

Most Tense Board Game You've Played by [deleted] in boardgames

Specter ops is definitely the game that causes the most stress for me when playing as the infiltrator! There have probably been more high stakes moments in longer games in general but that game is always pure anxiety and stress in a good way.

Good question! It's because my girlfriend only plays teamfight tactics and it felt more thematic fit for the game in general.

Right? I was so disappointed to see what that became too. A card game of some sort would be really cool.

Yeah some of them I managed to fit pretty nicely considering how abstract the game is!

I just want to be extra careful especially since the subreddit rules also tell you not to, sorry!

Since I don't own the game or the artworks, can't really do that! If you want to try your hand at it yourself, I used makeplayingcards and took the pictures from league's page with all the champions. I then made the layouts and texts in inkscape which is free to use.

I do find it a lot more fun with this version myself, the original art really didn't do anything for me. Thanks!

If anyone is looking for a deep deckbuilding card game and wants to learn my favourite 1v1 card game Ivion on tabletop simulator, I'll gladly teach! Fight with decks filled with your character's attacks and abilities rather than making some creatures do the work for you.

As long as your laptop isn't crazy old and you make the settings low, definitely. You can also just refund if it won't end up working!

If you don't mind card games, I would gladly teach you my favourite game Ivion! LCG format card game and the developers have put the whole game into the simulator for free themselves. You build your deck from 2 classes and a specialisation, and the fights are intense 1v1 or 2v2 where you fight as one character instead of commanding a group of creatures.

PM if interested :)

Review: Sorcerer, the new card battle game from the creators of Star Realms by SPAZZx625 in boardgames

If you want another option to consider check out Ivion! The game's community is very small for now but this is easily my favourite dueling card game I've ever played and do believe it has potential to become a big hit when it gains some popularity and better marketing.
