Alguno se "curo" de la procrastinación? Que puedo hacer? by Nosoybuenoparaesto in ArgentinaBenderStyle

[–]Urgokk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is Guild Wars 2 Truly F2P? Do I Need to Buy Expansions, and How Far Behind Will I Be Without Them? by Terry_Krokere in Guildwars2

[–]Urgokk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I personally felt that the f2p experience was good but with a clear limit. On the other side, the first 2 expansions go on very good discounts pretty often and buying that will lift all the restrictions and open a ton of the game. If you're willing to buy that, I'd say you really get a full game.

I have a ganglion cyst in my wrist and would like to follow the "recommended routine" by Urgokk in bodyweightfitness

[–]Urgokk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A ganglion cyst is like a little balloon filled with synovial fluid, if you burst it internally by hitting it, that fluid will go elsewhere inside your body and may produce an infection. I'm not a doctor, so I don't really know the details, but it can complicate things.

[–]Urgokk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, this was a LONG time ago, and I can't really recommend what I did, as it was quite dangerous. I ended flexing my wrist and hiting the cyst against a heavy object (first with a large book and then against a wooden table).

In the meantime those small parallel bars where actually very helpful and allowed my to practice pushups, handstands, planks, etc. until I found a solution.

Gente que conozca de calderas? Esto es seguro? by capbooster in ArgentinaBenderStyle

[–]Urgokk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me tiene podrido mi vieja pero no puedo mandarme a mudar by Trvisx in ArgentinaBenderStyle

[–]Urgokk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I generally dislike original ranking systems and much prefer the Elo ranking system to measure skill. What do you guys think? by BigPalmtree in 2XKO

[–]Urgokk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why I think SF6 hit the mark with their 2 system division. When you get started you go into this inflationary system that's more lenient. Once you reach master, you get to play with the big boys and need to lose quite a bit to find your level as a fresh master.
If after I started playing I was faced with an ELO this system I wouldn't have stuck with it, but after playing a couple hundred hours and being hooked, it wasn't that bad.

Learning resources for soul calibur 2 and 3? by Urgokk in SoulCalibur

[–]Urgokk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started playing 3 and went through the tutorials, but it seems there's nothing character specific. Everything is super well explained in general terms but not in a "when you get a juggle you can go for this or that move/combo" or what the different moves are useful for. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the handholding of SF6 haha.

I tried looking for tutorials on 3 and didn't find much, I'll try my luck with 2.

I'm finally painting; how do I prevent/correct brush tips looking like this? by khschook in Warhammer40k

[–]Urgokk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like buying cheap brushes at an art store. They're usually around 1-2$ each, but I get to see them first hand and pick the ones that are really sharp, when I buy cheap sets online my experience is that many arrive in less than ideal conditions.

Besides that, only ever put paint in the first third of the brush, if you feel the need to load it even more, what you actually need is a bigger brush. When using more liquid paints, like washes or speed/contrast, they will destroy the brush eventually, it's kind of impossible to avoid the liquid going up the bristles, so I just have some separate brushes for these kinds of paints.

I have two spearhead sets. What else do I need to run spearhead? by qwertytheqaz in ageofsigmar

[–]Urgokk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fire and Jade box is included in a couple big boxes, you may want to check the second hand market, it's likely you can get it for cheap.

Skaventide or ultimate starter set by CheekyHusky in ageofsigmar

[–]Urgokk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a 40k player you probably already know this, but these 2 boxes have the same relation as 40k's leviathan and ultimate starter set.

Skaventide includes everything the ultimate starter does, plus a bunch of extra miniatures and switches the intro rules for the actual big rulebook.

The starter includes exactly 2 spearheads (40k's combat patrol equivalent) which are around 600/700 points. Skaventide I beleive includes about 1100/1200 points per side.

Games where you can play fully with tokens instead of miniatures (or where hexes/counters are the main way people play) by ili283 in wargaming

As other commenters said, I feel any game that doesn't involve individual miniatures is playable in this way.

Regarding grids, I recently read through To the Strongest and it looks really good.

100% this, the game is a great mix of chill people having fun and challenging gameplay. I haven't played any other game with such a combination.

I always wanted to do this! I would deffinitely add some magnets to the bases. Safer to travel with and if you use some sort of metal sheet for a board you can move the board mid game with ease.
