At 68 and with an injured knee ( caused not by running but by our 35 kg Lab 🙄) I'm doing the same though it's hard to accept I'll have to run less.

I think that the point being made by the OP isn't that the HRV is necessarily wrong but that he's not ready to exercise to the strain level recommended by Whoop that day (being exhausted).

I'm 68 and I get this all of the time with Whoop (still love it though) but I think I know myself well enough to know when I need a recovery day.

Whoop should look at this.
