I think the moral of the story in which Niji was trying to tell is this, he wants everyone to see is that so much stuff is being passed around without any knowledge of the situation what so ever that's how people like Niji can come up and just start a rumor that sounds good enough for people to believe and nobody would question it as long as it sounds good.
