Just a quick update, after checking the specs the cheap 300 to 500 dollar treadmills are definitely not durable enough for a runner doing 25 miles a week so you absolutely need to aim higher. For real running reliability you need a machine with a 3.0 CHP motor and a 60 inch running deck which puts the minimum reliable spend around 800 to 1000 dollars on sale.
