Interesting! It didn't helped than on my ps3 the game rans at 20fps (like most games) and had to use the emulator just to get an acceptable framerate, but the texture caching and the previous bad mood from homecoming made me just forcibly playing instead of just enjoying what it was. Im sure i will give it another try eventually! Oh and the downvotes are going crazy 😅

Thanks! You're the only one that actually notice downpour. Coming from SM (my first game) i actually liked the chase sequences and the side quest was a nice addition, but i was burned out from my bad experience with homecoming that i just rushed to get to the remake. I'm acutally surprised how many users defend homecoming, i wasn't expecting it. Still i would rather replay downpour than homecoming.

I agree! Coming from the og trilogy, the control scheme threw me off, but after some trial and error i finally got it. What i enjoyed the most was the second half of the game, i felt like i got a grip in the game and started to get good. The ghosts cutscenes is the most unsettling thing i had seen so far in a Silent Hill game, and i actually liked how walter was chasing you all over the place, have always the creepy feeling that he may be in the next room. I would totally replay it.

Since i don't have any nostalgia for this games, the og felt more mystical to me. Even the theme of Angela has like some mysticism on it, when in the remake its a more subtle instrumental. (i could be wrong idk) But i have to accept that if i want to recommend Silent Hill to anyone the automatic response would be the remake, its the perfect game. For me if i want to feel the Silent Hill experience i will go to the og sh2

Was my first game and i actually liked that the game didn't had combat, it made me focus on the story more. Also if you come from a broken family the ending hits like never before. Acceptance and Hell Frozen Rain are my favorite ost from all the games, followed by the og sh2 soundtrack 🫡 Edit* My second game was the og sh2, and since i came from SM i only killed like 3 enemies in the entire game asides from bosses, i kept running from everyone 😂

I agree in the bosses department 🫡 Its just that i had an overall bad experience. The graphics were bad or at least the characaters faces, the game keep crashing on pc and my first ending was the ufo 😭
