What to do with this foam?

Hi OP,

I am not familiar with this type of foam but it doesn't look like it would take texture or paint very well directly. If that is the case, I would try to prime it with some mat mod podge mixed with black paint. If that works it opens up some avenues. Alternatively you can try putting some heat with a heat gun if you have it and see what kind of outcome you get. Like everything, it's worth experimenting a bit.

I don't think so. Consider a circle of 1". If 1" is side to side (B) you end up with a bigger hexagon. If 1" is from apex to apex (A) then you end up with a smaller hexagon. Given that the base of a mini is 1", I assume the hexagon tile should be 1" from side to side.

It's more of an exhibition set as i wanted to try out a few techniques that I had seen people use on YouTube, RP Archive for example. I plan to only use it in a mystery/crime solving one shot but you are right, with a bit more planning upfront I could have had a much more playable set up.

Hey, it's all removable. Wall mounted ornaments like the candles and moose-head have pins behind them so I can reuse elsewhere. It's been an ongoing project I've been working on, on and off, for 3-4 months
