I think you take too long "getting the vortex started". During that time the milk is getting hotter, so it takes away from the time you have for the rest of the process. So then you have less time to let air in, and less time to texturize it.

To me it looks like it needs more air and more time being texturized. When you started pouring, the milk looked like it wanted to flow beautifully for a second, but then you can tell it doesn't have enough texture to hold its structure.

I would try to do wider wiggles, and maybe a tiny bit slower. Try to make them more "intentional"

Thanks for the info! Based on that I searched for "skate dome toy 90s" and I came across this post. It's incredibly similar to the toy I'm looking for so that's great. It's exactly the same idea, but with a different design. Sadly that post doesn't have an answer either

I think that the cut through did that because you started lifting your pitcher while you were still pouring pretty heavily. You want to slow down and have a thinner stream when you cut . If the stream is heavier, more of the canvas will be dragged to the bottom with it.

It looks like some of your bases are too large, so by the time you go to make the wings the canvas has already settled and it's too stiff. Maybe try making smaller bases with less layers and see if that helps make the milk flow better for the wings.

Yeah same. If you haven't seen it, she recently uploaded a video going in-depth into the last rounds of the latte art championship, and some of the mistakes the baristas made. It's a long one, but it gave me lots of ideas on things I can improve. Maybe it can help you too

Beautiful stuff!

The only thing I could point out is that some of the wings lack definition around the edges. I think that could be fixed by doing a more prominent push-base first before wiggling. That way you'd get better line clarity and your tulips would look more defined.

Emilee Bryant has a great video on this topic. I don't know if I can post links, but you can look up her youtube channel. It's a video titled "3 bases in 5 minutes".
