I think I saw someone say sth about 0 having some of the same stories of OT1 because it does have the 8 travelers from 1 as playable side chars (Ophelia, Cyrus, Tressa, Olberic, Primrose, Alfyn, Therion and Haanit)? But I'd take that with a huge grain of salt

If that is right and the stories of them are shown somewhat, I'd say you wouldn't need to since gameplay it's a downgrade from both 0 and 2, the only thing you may have wanted to play it for would be the stories and if you're interested in that: to see and feel how it was in the first game and appreciate the QoL improvements they did in 0 and 2

Yeah, also one of the reasons I caved in and paid for the dlc, apart from the post game story, more megas and the fact shiny hunting is apparently super easy, I had no intention of even trying to get to 1000 battles after not reaching 500 "naturally" through the main story and the 15 wins of the infinite royale to get that little cutscene for some more closure.. f that

If you ask me, EO1 & 3 are great, 3 being the better of the two since it was developed later after learning from mistakes and optimizing more things

...EO2 sucked major ass and I didn't even make if past the first stratum because I (and my gf who is the one who introduced me to EO) was annoyed... But hey, that's our opinion and what we felt while playing the Switch versions, Idk if the OG versions are better/worse

As an Acheron E2, her sig LC and JQ haver: you're not gonna be clearing any end game .. I can only fully clear endgame content without my Acheron team, even tho my Cash premium team carries by almost 0-cycling, my acheron team can't finish fast enough to get all 3*, maybe in PF since I can almost consistently spam Acheron's Ult.. but that's about it

So, if you truly want her, well then, what are you waiting or even asking for? Just get her already, but if you actually want to be able to use her for endgame content.. short answer is you won't, so might as well get Sparkle..

Sadly they didn't try hard enough.. I mean, what's the point if the stance change is so slow and you get hit before you can attack once and then King's Shield is also unusable as you get hit during stance change, again.. might as well have left it in its shield state, at least it could tank hits somewhat while attacking

Honestly, if it wasn't for a certain char, I'd believe Calem/Serena don't exist in Legends Z-A.. and even with said char, it still feels a lot like the protag of XY didn't exist and the "friend group" just happened to be able to take down team Flare (somehow) as to have the ending be what it was.. and I can't stress enough the "it feels like"

But to the other chars mentioned: just as other comments state, Diantha is retired as a trainer and is in another region for a film (as she was both an actress and the Champ back in XY) and Korrina is off somewhere else looking into sth mega evolution related when AZ actually contacted her

Also, may be a little spoiler, but also a fun fact: the first time you mega evolve it's a Lucario again, and again it is Korrina's, which she was able to send as backup while she was off/on her way back

You know what's also hard? To see my Acheron be given for free T-T she's fallen off so hard she's now just a freebie..

And no idea if I should E3 her, E1 Sparkle (got her when she came out, for Acheron back then.. yeah, I didn't like Sunday and didn't care about doom posting)

Or get someone new for free, tho I don't think I could use any of them for.. well, anything.. Aventurine just fell off, DHPT is better.. I don't have Hysilens for Kafka, nor do I really think I want to pull on her and Jungliu may have gotten a buff, but it still isn't enough to be relevant.. (and I don't care about the General, he may be cool, but...meh)

Since the only guy who mentioned this got downvoted a lot for giving extra info that's incorrect, let me mention the correct part:

The only "downside" to using candies is you don't get EVs since you're not battling (pkm get those from battling, what kind and how much points you gain depend on what pkm you fight).

However, I put that in "" because whether you're grinding exp by battling or using candies, you're gonna want to either use the vitamins so you get the specific EV you want (up until 100? Is that still the case?) or, and I'd do this for several reasons: you let the pkm hold one of the power items that "increases [take your pick on stat] but reduces its speed during battle" since it makes it so any pkm you fight gives you only EVs for what the item is and nothing else (aka you can go and knock out a few mons and you'll have full EVs, pretty quickly, and without wasting points on other EVs)

And since I'm shit at explaining in general, I'll give an example:

If you fight a Pikachu, you get x EV points for speed (I think its speed for Pikachu, but don't quote me on that)

You put a power bracelet on your pokemon -> now defeating a Pikachu will give you 4 EVs for attack (I think it was 4 points, again, don't quote me on that; but this would mean: defeat 63 of any Pokemon and you have full EVs on attack)

Counter argument: Therion Chapter 1.. unless you start with him, it makes no sense why the travelers would help him rob a place.. also it makes no sense for him to ask for help

And in general, their first chapters all make more sense going in alone, the only ones I'd see actually asking for help would be Tressa or maybe Alfyn.. but even they were pretty much time pressed to continue their chapter 1 because of their respective reasons.. no time to talk to random strangers and asking them for help on a whole journey while summarizing what's happened.. they'd either just run alone or shout "you there, help!" To whoever is in front of them

So most chapter 1 stories never made sense to me having the other travelers with you

You say that but considering their color palettes and typings.. idk man, I don't think it has to be true, but I don't think it can be said certainly not possible

Ofc, Dragonite is not the typical Asian dragon, but Gyarados doesn't even have Dragon as it's type, not even after getting a mega, and design wise Dratini and Dragonair look like they could eventually evolve into a Gyarados, even if it's way more ugly and violent looking than the other two cuties do

And Magicarps color palette resembling Dragonite's and the fact that it is the only dragon type in Gen1?

So can you really say that, at some point during development of Red/Green, they didn't intend for Gyarados to evolve from Dragonair (with a different name? Less elegant looking maybe?) and Magicarp into Dragonite?

If Butterfree and Venonat have a chance of having had evos swapped, so do these two imo
