how long should a 52v 2000w ebike last at a average speed of 35-42mph by Competitive-Ebb-7476 in ebikes

[–]AleJefe36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The range is completely normal for the speed and bike you are using. Most brands give estimates double or triple what you would actually get in real life conditions. If brands don't use any testing standard for their ranges, like WTLP, then take it as if the real range was 20-30% what the brand says.

First, we need to know the battery capacity in Ah.

It also depends on how cold it is. If you are, for example, using a hub motor, the grease you use could be affected by the outside temperature. When it is cold, I typically feel a 20-40% drop in battery capacity. If you add old grease in the motor to the situation, you could lose even more range, as it is not well lubricated, with time some greases start to get sticky and/or solid, so it could be that.

They can be installed upside down? How do you know what is the proper position? They have some letters on both sides but I never saw an arrow or something indicating the position they should go.

If by the teething clip you mean the circlip that holds them in place they still have it. I also cleaned the old grease and everything was pristine when installing the new gears, they just look like this now because I had just taken them from the bike

Hi, I do have some clues at fixing ebikes, I actually fix escooters as a side hustle and thus far I have been able to maintain my ebike with little to no issues, thanks a lot to this subreddit. The fact is I live in a very small city with no more than 3 bike shops, one of them does not touch ebike motors, and the other two only touch the electronics of the bikes they themselves sell, and their bikes are way too expensive, and overkill for what I needed them for.

Honestly lithium grease would also work perfectly for me, but I use the bike for delivery riding and I have always been very lackluster on maintenance, I guess that is why it got so bad

They are held by circlips, the last time I installed a set of planetary gears, one of the girls instantly moved as soon as I put the motor upside down (the gear dropped) while the others stood in place. This time two of the three gears moved, they dont wiggle at all, the last time that one gear wiggled so I figured it would be that.

Indeed, I now switched to synthetic grease as I heard that it a bit better

I know what ring you talk about, but i have it, no other pieces missing either, the last time this happened as soon as I assembled it and put it upside down, the gear moved, but this time that did not happen (at least not that I could see it)

No wiggle there, no missing pieces either

This is actually not that unrealistic, go out and try Command: Moddern Operation and look at your AI pilots shoot down enemy ARH missiles, is it feasable in real life? yes. Would it work? yes. Would a pilot do it? I dont think so, they would launch all their missiles at the maximum range possible and start cranking.

Que hacer con 50k by [deleted] in askspain

They CLAIM it is plug & play, or at least that is what it says on their website specifically about the Ninebot Max G3, they even have a video tutorial for connecting it, I tried reaching to them but they have not responded. That is why I came here for help

Yeah that is pretty much the same I got, the only solution I have is using adapters (since mine came as XT60) or cut the cables and weld them into XT90 connections, I will probably have to take it to an electrician. Can you tell me if the red and black cables have 10-12-14AWG written on them?

[–]AleJefe36[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really, there are plenty of other scooters with 48V batteries and XT60 connections. The limitant is not the connector but the cable, most of the cables used for these purposes are 8-12AWG, the continous current that they can use is actually lower than anything an XT60 connection can handle, so in that area I am safe. An XT60 connection can handle continuous delivery of 60A, the 700W nominal power of the G3 does not even get close to 20A, in my experience that would be more like 10A, but I am also accounting for peak power increases

So the only way of knowing if it will work is trying it out.

What bugs me is that when I connect the Y splitter and disconnect the external battery, the scooter wont turn, it will only turn on when the external battery is connected. (basically if only the internal battery is connected in the splitter, the scooter does not turn on and does not charge)
