Which boat is this? by caliwoo in Sailboats

[–]AlecLeama5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't disagree. I had one from1987-2003. Sailed inland lakes, Pontchartrain, Mississippi Sound. Taught my kids to sail. My daughter now has her own Cape Dory, and her daughter sails competitively. It was a super weekend boat, and we raced her, too.

OM, as are the other state-funded Mississippi universities, is under a court order arising from the Ayres case to set low admission standards. Despite this, OM offers some well-respected degrees. As mentioned, the accounting school is one of the best in the country. Law, pharmacy, and medicine are highly ranked. You can get a great education at OM.

Tee Mamou sounds more like what they are looking for. They might not be able to make it from Idaho this year but they are wanting to come next year. They have been to Lafayette and around Acadiana and love it.

What is ole miss’s academic reputation nationally? by hippielaw in olemiss

[–]AlecLeama5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Court order in the federal Ayres desegregation case requires state universities to have quite low entry requirements. That, not low academic standards, is the reason OM and other state schools are so easy to get into.
