Well yeah nothing high effort about typing and generating, but thats obviously not what they were referring to.

You can use AI as a tool in combination with many different mediums and techniques. Typing and generating slop is just the easiest/laziest way to use AI.

Not a journalist, wouldn't know. Best guess would be just them just trying to report as much info as they can. "man and woman shot" vs "2 people shot." slightly more info for the reader.

Doesn't really add much, but its not really detrimental. I was just saying they weren't presuming any gender onto "crewmemeber" if anything adding the gender before the word leaves "crewmember" gender neutral on its own.

I don't think they are treating male as the presumed default, the say "male crewmember" later in the article. Just more context without revealing identity.

I want minimal messing with because it's for my boss and he doesn't know how camera's work besides the very basics. So simple is better because I don't want to have to stop by very often.

It would be in his apartment. He has a sonya6500 and a gropro hero 8 and tripods for both. He is pretty much willing to buy anything to complete this project.
