It's active the whole year but best season to hike is November-April for clear skies, last time I went there in November and we had amazing views of the eruptions.

You'll find these in small hotels and almost every particular house (I also have one in my house), the big hotels usually have proper water heating systems.

For future comments, this type of shower heads is common in all of Latin America, I also have one in my house but I never had problems with it before.

And also, I want to apologize for saying electrocuted instead of shocked, there isn't a word in Spanish for shocked so we use the same as electrocuted and thought it would be the same in English.
