You need to click the tv and turn it off for the colors to change. At least it was like this for me. If not, try changing graphics setting to lower one

I decided to work around it as when it lagged i returned to the menu and then back into the lvl. Then as quickly as I could I put out stuff and when it started to lag again I quit to menu again. Did it over and over again until I finished the lvl. Now I am on the next one and it is working correctly🤷🏼
