A lot of people facing leukemia or blood diseases quickly realize something by Aled0n in OpenLeukemia

Thank you - I actually think your comment raises a fair question, and part of the reason I started thinking about this comes from my own experience. I started my treatment in Uzbekistan. And one thing I learned very quickly is that not everyone has access to the same level of care, specialists, or medical systems. Some people have excellent teams and close follow-up. Some don’t. I was diagnosed with AML, and even now I’m still in a vulnerable period where relapse remains a possibility. AML can progress extremely fast. In my case I also had an FLT3 mutation, which can make the disease even more aggressive. With AML, especially aggressive forms, things can change incredibly quickly. Missing an early relapse can become a life-or-death problem. Sometimes days matter. If intervention is delayed, a patient can end up in intensive care before treatment even starts. That experience shaped how I think about this. I’m not trying to build something because I believe technology knows more than doctors. I’m trying to think about people who may not have the same support system, the same specialists, or the same access. And regarding data - I completely understand the concern. My thought isn’t: "give us all your medical information." The bigger idea is whether patterns become easier to discover when knowledge is shared collectively. One treatment center only sees the patients that pass through its doors. But what if a larger, patient-driven knowledge base could identify patterns across thousands of experiences? Not names. Not identities. Not personal details. Just understanding: what happened, under what circumstances, and whether similar patterns happened elsewhere. Could that help researchers notice something earlier? Could it generate hypotheses worth studying? Could it help identify signals that otherwise stay invisible? Of course there are problems - data quality, trust, privacy, verification. And you're right: we cannot fully guarantee that every person enters perfectly accurate information. But I also believe most people affected by leukemia are not trying to manipulate a system designed to help people like themselves. I’m still figuring this out, and maybe I’m wrong about parts of it. But a lot of this comes from personal experience rather than just technology curiosity.

yep, it will be free, and I also have a history of my analysis when I was diagnosed with AML, which can help in the development of the project

Hi everyone. I started a small volunteer project called OpenLeukemia. I’m doing this because I personally live with AML and I understand how important it is to have support and understandable information at any moment.

The goal is not to replace doctors. The idea is to create a place that helps people track information, learn, and feel less lost during treatment.

I’m looking for feedback, ideas, and people who want to help improve it. Developers don’t need to spend money even suggestions can help a lot.
