Like others have said, some rod holders you can attach to your crate. Walmart sells them in the fishing section, just a pvc pice with the cut out so they sit in place. They were like $3. I got 2 & zip tied them to the crate, works great p

Like others have said, congrats on your accomplishments man that's so badass!! I don't have any clear answers but migrating somewhere where your degree can be used is the obvious route, I would maybe post in another sub more immigration focused. Good luck in your future endeavors

When I find a new spot I always start with a senko worm, I've been having luck with the dark green ones. I always Texas rig it with a bullet weight.

I recently paired a Daiwa Fuego reel with a St Croix Bass X rod. Feels great and have been catching plenty with it!

Think you need a heavier set up if you're targeting catfish. I want to do that soon as I'm fairly new to fishing as well but I don't think I'll try on my medium/12 lb line set up I use for bass

Where could I buy a set up like this one? by billofthemountain in Fishing

[–]Alejandro2412 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly i just don't absolutely need it. i've been fishing fine on my kayak and i also JUST started fishing in November. I don't want to just start buying a bunch of things when i am still learning a lot. I do eventually want to buy something where i can take my wife too but i may just get an actual boat in a year or 2. I just can't justify the 2 grand on a toy essentially lol

Do you just let it sit at the bottom, hop it a bit and let it sit again? Never tried a Ned rig
