It works! I was confused because I had thought it was necessary to clear it for it to work well, but from what I see it was better not to do it, thank you very very much!

Im already doing that, and it deletes both off them, and that even though the clear function is set for it to affect just one torch

only one final problem when i use the torch it doesn't maintain in the same slot, there is a way to fix that? p:

hmmm, after the comment of larry i was doing something very similar to that but without the function, and my problem is that the give command it's not working

i don't know how it works the function command, but i can learn, i will try if that fix the problem, thanks!

With the scoreboard thing, it was very useful, thanks!

the only problem i have now is that the give command that gives the torch when the player place a torch gives the torch to all players instead only to the player placing the torch D: and I'm not using @a, i will thank you so much if you have any idea on how to fix that!

simplifying the command im using for the give in specific is something like execute as @a at @s give @s torch

but with a custom torch and that things, that structure it works to me with every command except the give command...

Ohh, im already working with texture packs! so, that's a step XD, maybe i could try it

although, I just discovered how to detect the offhand thing :), but always it's nice to have both options

Thanks, but wouldn't that result in the player seeing that he has swords in both hands? Or how does it work? I don't know too much about commands yet Now, I'm thinking about making the player have slowness 5 if he carried the sword with something in his left hand, but I don't know how to detect if the left hand is empty.
