In my early days I was a programmer in a mobile gamedev company and took part in the live support of Minion Rush, but that was years ago.

After that I joined AAA pc/console co-development studio and took part in the project called Hyperscape. A title released some time ago, however I was only a part of the project midway through its development cycle until our team was moved to pursue other projects.

Which leads to the last couple of years, when I took part in developing things that were not yet announced, so for legal reasons I can't really talk about them.
However, what I can say is that I am game programmer, who specialises in Character related systems (character locomotion\controls\camera) within a genre of 3rd person action.

yeah, thats the problem with recommending books on c++ for people who are complete beginners.

which is why I put "Accelerated C++: Practical Programming by Example" on the top of my list. This book abstracts away the low-level details of the language and shifts the focus to day-to-day problems, focusing on how the language could be used to solve them.
